Pay Scale and Eligibility Criteria

Scale of Pay

The selected candidate will be paid as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC) under the High Court Service Class-III. In addition, other allowances as admissible under the rules will also be payable.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the educational and technical qualifications by the last date of application. The age will be calculated as of the date of application.

Educational Qualification Passed Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary (12th Class) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council.
Technical Qualification (Mandatory)
  • Shorthand Speed: 120 words per minute
  • Typewriting Speed: 30 words per minute
Desirable Qualification Working knowledge in Computers.
Age Limit 18 years to 30 years (as on the date of application).
Age Relaxation Relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for Scheduled Caste candidates of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and West Bengal.
Important Note: For proof of age, only the date of birth recorded in the Madhyamik or equivalent certificate will be accepted.

Mode of Selection

The selection process will be conducted in two stages:

  1. Competitive Test: A shorthand and typewriting test on a computer (in English).
