Selection Process

The selection process for these non-teaching posts will be as per the Cadre Recruitment Rules (Non-Teaching), 2018 of the University. The process will be multi-staged and is designed to ensure a fair and comprehensive assessment of candidates.

  1. Shortlisting: Based on the number of applications received, the University may restrict the number of candidates to be called for the selection process. This shortlisting will be done on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed for the post.
  2. Skill Test / Trade Test (Qualifying): For Group 'B' and 'C' posts requiring specific skills (e.g., Private Secretary, UDC, Technical Assistant), a Skill Test or Trade Test will be conducted first. This test is mandatory and is of a qualifying nature. Marks obtained in this test will not be counted for the final merit list.
  3. Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in the Skill/Trade Test (where applicable) will be called for a competitive Written Test. The final merit for Group 'B' and 'C' posts will be based solely on the marks obtained in this test.
  4. Interview (for Group 'A' Posts Only): For the Group 'A' post (Medical Officer), candidates shortlisted from the written test will be called for a personal interview. The final merit will have a weightage of 80% for the shortlisting process (written test, academics) and 20% for the interview.

Exam Pattern

The University has defined a clear scheme of examination for Group 'A', 'B', and 'C' posts. The language of the test paper will be English only, and there will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer in MCQ tests.

Pattern for Group 'B' & 'C' Posts

  • Skill Test (Qualifying): This is the first stage. It includes tests like MS Word (noting/drafting), MS Excel (data analysis), PowerPoint presentation, Typing Test, or Hands-on Laboratory Practices, depending on the post. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks (e.g., 35/100 or 18/50) to proceed.

    • Duration: 1.5 hours
    • Total Marks: 100
    • Part 1 (50 Marks): Language proficiency in English, General Knowledge, Analytical Ability, University System, Central Universities Act 2009, Statutes, Ordinances, Office Procedures, Filing, Noting, Drafting, Basic GoI Rules.
    • Part 2 (50 Marks): Questions relevant to the subject/work profile of the Post.
    • Qualifying Marks: 35
