Selection Process
The selection process for these Group-D posts is straightforward and transparent, based on an objective type written examination. The main stages of selection are as follows:
- Written Examination: An objective type (Multiple Choice Questions) written examination will be conducted for all eligible candidates. The detailed syllabus and pattern of this examination will be uploaded on the Board's website later.
- Qualifying Test of Punjabi Language: Along with the written exam, a mandatory Punjabi language test will also be held. This test will be of Matriculation standard, and it is compulsory to score a minimum of 50% marks to qualify. Candidates who fail this test will be disqualified from the recruitment process, irrespective of their score in the main written exam.
- Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based only on the marks obtained in the main written examination. In case of a tie where two or more candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be given preference. If the age is also the same, preference will be decided based on the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation.
- Document Verification (Counseling): Candidates will be called for document verification (counseling) based on their position in the merit list. In this stage, candidates will have to present all their original academic, reservation, and other certificates.
