Selection Process

The selection process will be completed in multiple stages, primarily involving a written examination and a skill test. The selection of candidates will be based on the following steps:

Detailed Syllabus

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: Questions will be of 10th/12th standard and will include topics on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, and figural classification.
  • General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around them. Topics will include current events, India and its neighboring countries, sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity including the Indian Constitution, and scientific research.
  • General English: This section will test the candidate’s understanding of the basics of the English language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and its correct usage. For the LDC post, this section is more significant.
  • Numerical Aptitude: This part will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, relationship between numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work. For the LDC post, this section has a higher weightage.
