Selection Process

The selection process for both Non-ITI and Ex-ITI categories is purely based on academic merit. There will be no written examination or interview.

  1. Merit List Preparation: Two separate merit lists will be prepared for Non-ITI and Ex-ITI candidates for each Ordnance Factory.
  2. For Non-ITI Category: The merit list will be prepared based on the overall percentage of marks in Madhyamik (Class 10th). The trades will be allotted based on merit-cum-choice.
  3. For Ex-ITI Category: The merit list will be prepared factory-wise and trade-wise. It will be based on the simple average of the percentage of marks in both Matriculation (10th) and the ITI examination.
  4. Document Verification & Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates based on the merit list will be called for Document Verification and a mandatory Medical Examination at the respective Ordnance Factory.

Tie Resolution: In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be given preference. If the tie persists, the candidate who passed Matriculation in an earlier year will be preferred.

Exam Pattern

There is no written examination for this apprenticeship recruitment. The selection is entirely based on the marks obtained by the candidates in their qualifying academic examinations (10th Class and/or ITI).

PET (Physical Efficiency Test)

There is no Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for this recruitment. However, selected candidates must pass a mandatory Medical Examination conducted by the respective Ordnance Factory hospital to ensure they meet the minimum standards of physical fitness required for the training.

How to Prepare

As the selection is merit-based, no specific exam preparation is needed. However, candidates should focus on ensuring a flawless application process.

  • Accurate Marks Calculation: The most crucial step is to calculate and enter your marks/percentage from your 10th and ITI mark sheets exactly as per the formula or guidelines of your board. Any discrepancy can lead to rejection during document verification.
