Application Fee

  • Group A (UR/OBC): ₹1500/- | (SC/ST/Women/EWS/PwD): ₹750/-
  • Group B (UR/OBC): ₹1000/- | (SC/ST/Women/EWS/PwD): ₹500/-
  • Group C (UR/OBC): ₹500/- | (SC/ST/Women/EWS/PwD): ₹250/-

The fee is to be paid via Demand Draft in favor of the "Indian Institute of Mass Communication", payable at New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

Specific educational qualifications, experience, and age limits are prescribed for each post:

Assistant Bachelor's Degree + 3 years of experience as a UDC. Proficiency in typing, computer applications, and noting/drafting. Age: 35 years.
Upper Division Clerk (UDC) Bachelor's Degree + 2 years of experience as an LDC. Typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi. Knowledge of computers. Age: 32 years.
Stenographer Bachelor's Degree + Stenography speed of 80 wpm and typing speed of 35/30 wpm (Eng/Hin). Knowledge of computers. Age: 32 years.

Selection Process

The selection process will vary according to the group of the post:

  1. Group 'A' Posts: Selection will be based on a Written Test, Skill Test, and Interview.
  2. Group 'B' and 'C' Posts: Selection will be based on a Written Test and a Skill Test. There will be no interview for these posts.

Only candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for the skill test/interview.

How to Apply

The application process will be completed in two stages:

  1. Online Application:
    • First, visit the IIMC Samarth portal: https://iimcnt.samarth.edu.in/.
    • Select the post you wish to apply for and register yourself.
    • Fill out the online application form carefully with all the required information.
    • After final submission, take a printout of the filled application form.
  2. Sending the Hard Copy:
    • Take a printout of the online application form.
    • Attach self-attested photocopies of all the required documents as mentioned below.
    • Attach the original Demand Draft for the application fee.
    • Send all these in a sealed envelope via Speed Post/Registered Post to the following address:
      "The Deputy Registrar, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New JNU Campus, New Delhi – 110067"
    • The hard copy must reach by 5:00 PM on January 19, 2026.

Documents to Send with the Hard Copy

You need to send self-attested copies of the following documents with the printout of your online application:

  1. All educational certificates and marksheets (from 10th to the highest qualification).
  2. Experience certificates.
  3. Caste/Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD).
  4. Identity proof (Aadhaar Card, etc.).
  5. Original Demand Draft for the application fee.
  6. Any other relevant certificates.
